About this piece:
Flowers have become a reoccuring shape in my work. The meditation of drawing a continuing loopy line that creates an allusion to nature is a grounding act that I’ve done since childhood. It’s a nostalgic and playful image in my vocabulary of shapes. The raised outline of the shape of sits on top of its solid, dark shape, creating a shadow and separation of identity.
