Quit Playin’, But Don’t Stop

Fabric, wood, 48” x 65”

About this piece:
I have just recently begun experimenting with fabric sculpture, and I really love it. I find the act of assembling something really satisfying, especially when the material can still do its own thing. This sculpture has structure at the top, but is largely dynamic and able to interact with elements (like a nice breeze) around it. The hanging fabric has a theatrical and oceanic quality to it while the vinyl netting is stiffer and imposing.
