About the Piece:
I created this piece at the end of a week long residency at VCCA (Virginia Center for the Creative Arts). Because of all the uninterrupted time I had in the studio there I was able to work through painting problems and roadblocks like never before. The last two or three paintings I did were so free and flowing, they appeared very quickly and without a lot of wrestling. This is one of them and I love how fluid the paint is here. It feels fresh.
