The title here refers to model car kits that were popular when I was growing up: you could build the model in different variations to make it your own. I always loved the boxes they came in, and I still have lots of them. This collage is one of the simplest I’ve done recently, but I chose to leave that big empty space on the face of the box – it’s like depicting something by illustrating the absence of it. Or something like that.
