Screenprint on Mylar (with black matte), 20†x 12.5â€
About this piece:
One summer, I inherited a large amount of Mylar from an artist who is a friend of mine, and I wasn’t able to touch it without wearing white gloves. I knew I wanted to screen print on it, even though it seemed like a disastrous, messy ordeal, sort of like eating ice-cream on a hot day. Sticky mouth, sticky fingers, basically the total opposite of what you should be doing around Mylar. Combining the two seemed devious but humorous. I love how summery the bright colors swimming on top of a reflective surface are.
