A Typical Frustrated Teenager Living in a Nowhere Town

$150.00

Acrylic on paper, 9 ¾”x12”

About this piece:
While living in Brooklyn, I did a lot of paintings on paper as a means of creating work without crowding my tiny apartment. This painting is inspired by Diane Lane’s character in the 1982 film, Ladies and Gentlemen, The Fabulous Stains. In the movie, she cuts and dyes her hair like a skunk and starts a punk band with Laura Dern. A great piece of 1980’s feminism.
