Wandering Through The Light On Tiptoe

$255.00

 7.5 x 8.5 x 1.5 in, Assemblage

This piece is about reinvention when things don’t go as planned. It’s about adjusting your sails when the wind shifts. About navigating by starlight until the dawn breaks over the watery horizon. It’s about trusting a pinhole of light to lead you through darkness, one step at a time. The bits are from a sailboat that cruised the world, including a piece of sacrificial zinc, which corrodes first in order to save the aluminum of the propeller. The textile bundle is made of scraps from the novel Moby Dick, plus a few surprises that washed up on shore after a hurricane.
