Oil on canvas 20”x42”
While the heart of the piece is based on The Diary of Anne Frank, its title is taken from the concept in physics that describes the natural phenomenon of velocity at which waves travel outwards from a pebble thrown into a lake. Forms come from and are bound by their relationships to one another–contrasts and similarities; unrelated things harmonized by proximity and necessity. Biology, history, community, and society all wed together.
(This piece won an “Honorable Mention” at ARTFIELDS 2015.)
