Acrylic and airbrush on canvas, 18”x19 ¾”
About this piece:
I spent a lot of my youth at swimming pools. It was a place that provided a lot of fun, mischievousness, and relief from the hottest of summers. We had one in my backyard growing up in Florida, and I think I was swimming in it before I could crawl. I was definitely digging around in the bug traps constantly. Living in Northern California, my pool intake has dropped considerably, and I find myself most nostalgic for these times. Everything just seems less serious when you’re by a pool.
